Latest News: we are still in lockdown and all our User group facilities are closed until further notice, however this has not prevented us from investing, with the help from our Membership and local grants we have been able to purchase 8 new replacement bench seats for the beer garden as well as a new slightly larger marquee so we will be looking forward to Spring/Summer when hopefully we can all be back using these facilities. In the meantime please be mindful that the current Marquee is no longer usable and as the grounds are very wet the un made up car park remains closed until further notice. REMEMBER HANDS - FACE - SPACE we can all do our part to bring this virus under control !!!! Thank you all for your co-operation, patience and SUPPORT.
Appleton Thorn is a village in the South of Warrington, it lies on the B5356 between junctions 9 and 10 on the Northbound side of the M56.
Our hall is situated in the centre of the village. The attractive sandstone building, once the village primary school is now a thriving community building. Purchased by the villagers in the early 1980's, it is now run by a dedicated team of local people . The hall provides a home to a variety of local groups and community activities. It houses a large hall, a small comfortable lounge, a pool room and offers a kitchen and a fully serviced bar facility. It is available to hire for private parties and events offering ample parking.
The friendly Village Hall bar is open to its members on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and on Sunday afternoons a choice of home cooked food is also available.
You are welcome to join us as a member or as a guest.
