Latest News: With the introduction of a "Tier 2 restrictions" now in place as of 2/12/2020 this brings new restrictions to our Village Hall (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/tier-2-high-alert) and unfortunately still all our User group facilities will have to close until reviewed. Please be assured that we will do our utmost to keep ALL the members informed as to our situation. We will be working hard as usual in the back ground to ensure the smooth running of the Hall for the pre-school who are allowed to continue to use the facility. We are always looking into plans for improvement and will keep the Membership up to date with any proposals. Please remember HANDS - FACE - SPACE we can all do our part to bring this virus under control !!!! Thank you all for your co-operation, patience and SUPPORT.

Appleton Thorn is a village in the South of Warrington, it lies on the B5356 between junctions 9 and 10 on the Northbound side of the M56.

Our hall is situated in the centre of the village. The attractive sandstone building, once the village primary school is now a thriving community building. Purchased by the villagers in the early 1980's, it is now run by a dedicated team of local people . The hall provides a home to a variety of local groups and community activities. It houses a large hall, a small comfortable lounge, a pool room and offers a kitchen and a fully serviced bar facility. It is available to hire for private parties and events offering ample parking.

The friendly Village Hall bar is open to its members on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and on Sunday afternoons a choice of home cooked food is also available.

You are welcome to join us as a member or as a guest.
